We will be having an art camp at the Blue Star Arts Collective again this summer. Week long camps are thematic and campers will learn various art techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, collage, assemblage and crafts. Exercise included as appropriate to the theme of the class such as walking, dancing and qigong and yoga. Music and theater exercises will also be incorporated as well as science and math. Lead teachers are Laurel Gibson and myself. Both of us are experienced artists and educators with master's degrees. Every week, there will be guest artists including other members of the Blue Star Arts Collective and various local artists. Visits to area galleries, museums and cultural sites will also be included.
